Early intervention services are available throughout the Commonwealth
of Virginia to support the development of infants and toddlers with
developmental delays or disabilities and their families. As a medical care
professional, it is important for you to know about Virginia's early
intervention system - the Infant & Toddler Connection of Virginia
- and the procedures for referring children and families to it. This site has been designed for physicians, nurses, and other medical
professionals (including medical office staff, referral coordinators, et.
al.) who provide and/or coordinate health care services for infants and
toddlers (ages 0-36 months) and their families in Virginia.

months, you can obtain referral information for special education services provided
through local public school systems by clicking here.
